Any advice out there?
Hi Ladies,
This is my first time posting on TTC board. I already have 1 daughter, and am very grateful for that. My husband and I got pregnant the first month trying with her so now that we are trying again, I kind of expected similar results. Well now 7 months later, still no baby.
I am using the ovulation prediction kits, and they seem accurate, I've been getting my period exactly 14 days after it says I'm ovulating. I also spoke with a health care provider in my family who suggested some supplements in addition to prenatal vitamin, just like co q 10, and omega 3s to help with "quality of egg", and I have my husband taking it too, figured it can't hurt, but still no baby. My only thought (and sorry if this is TMI) is that maybe we're not having enough sex? We try to do it every other day the week leading up to ovulation and then a couple days after.
Just wondering if you ladies had any advice? Has anyone else who had no problem conceiving the first had such problems with the second? My only other thought is maybe it's our age but I'm still just 31...idk. Just getting a little frustrated here that's all. Any suggestions/advice would be welcomed :)

Stop using the OPK's for a month and just relax.... give yourselves a little bit of a break because the stress of it all takes its toll and can actually hurt your chances of conception. 7 months really isn't that long, if in another 5 months you still haven't conceived then take the next steps to an RE. I would also recommend adding acupuncture to your regimen. I am 100% positive that it helped us finally conceive and keep a baby.

I am a firm believer in acupuncture. After 1.5 months I became preto after the RE told me it would be very unlikely. Unfortunately I miscarried but the point is that it works!! Good luck and if u need any acupuncturists I can give u the name of one.

I would not worry about supplements- honestly it is about timing more then anything. When I was TTC my RE recommended the clear blue advanced ovulation predictor kit since it is very sensitive. She recommended having sex every other day when you get the flashing smiley then the day of the soild smiley and the day after if you want. On average it can take a year to conceive. I would try to enjoy the process as much as possible.

Any advice out there?
With this pregnancy we only dtd once. DH was sick and that's all he could give me. lol I was using opks. We dtd in the am, and I got a positive opk that afternoon (I ovulated 2 days later). I totally thought I was out that month and was mad at DH. It really is all about timing. I always tried to dtd a few days before I was due to ovulate, the day I got a positive opk and the day after. My dr suggested that to better our chances.
Just wanted to add that I hope you get your bfp soon!! I know how hard this process can be.

Re: Any advice out there?
The one month I did not use the OPK was the month I got pregnant.....I would take some time away from it and just see what happens.
Good luck!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all your responses. We're still TTC. Trying to relax about this but I'm such a type A personality it's difficult to not use OPK's.

I would try temping, too. I got pg the after 8 cycles and the first month temping... and I didn't do it buy the book. I started cd 10 and went a few days after my spike. But noticed I actually O a day later than I thought. Temping is the only way to know for sure when you O.

I just read about Deanna's Plan...has anyone had success with that? Currently I'm on my 2ww period...can't wait to be able to test! But if AF comes this month again, I was thinking of trying that next month. Hopefully I won't need it
