NJ Moms!!

Where are your favorite places to go in the summer? Would love to even meet up at a park too and of course LI moms are more than welcome Chat Icon

I am going to Dorbrook Park (the spray ground) today in Colts Neck. It's only about 15 mins from us. Plus it's free.
Still debating on getting Great Adventure season passes. My boys are 5 and 3. May get the end of summer for the next year and to use the rest of the season.
Jersey Shore

Any other ideas? I'm in central NJ
I haven't been to Turtle Back Zoo, but heard great things about it.
I work PT at home so sometimes it's not always easy to leave for the day since I have to do some work.

Re: NJ Moms!!

We are in NJ but about an hour away from you. The Turtleback Zoo is nice. Friends of mine said they now have a zip line.

I plan on taking my kids to the Morris Museum for some plays.

We have camp and play dates scheduled. Going to the pool.

I am trying to figure out our vacation plans. Got the hotels down and a rough itinerary going.

I have some Tuesdays and Thursdays available in July with DD who is 4. If you wanted to meet up at the turtleback zoo, we would love to have a LIF meet up.

Dont ever post on this site but I'm a transplanted LI mom. I think you and I live right by each other in central nj but I have only been in the area for 4 months so I'm not familiar with any activities. I have two sons too, 3 and 8 months. Any suggestions for summer activities would be great to know!

Here's a good site to check out...

NJ places to check out

We love Holmdel Park. Boys like the animals then we go to the playground and throw bread in the pond
Just got back from Dorbrook Park, which was a lot of fun. They have a nice, clean sprinkler park that's fenced in and is free. Playground there too
Jenkinson's boardwalk (which I also went to a lot when I was younger... Chat Icon Chat Icon )
Spring Lake for a beach day
Great Adventure
Jersey Shore outlets

Really a lot of stuff to do in the area without having to travel too far. My fav is also going apple picking at the orchards or Battleview. You can go peach picking now.

FM me if you have any questions. I grew up here then moved back about 3 years ago

Thanks! I might try the sprinkler park tomorrow! Will definitely try Holmdel Park playground. The playground at the rec center by me does not have swings which my son love.

NJ Moms!!

I am about 30 minutes away from Turtle back zoo, its a really cool place. I havent been there in a few years. Im in Northern Nj and my DS will be in camp some days where they take him on trips. Some of the things I may do:

*I live next to a big park that has a cool sprinkler set up. They just re did it
*Bergen county zoo
*Bradly Beach is nice
* Paramus has a nice Childrens Museum

I dont know too much about NJ, although I have been here for 8 yrs already.
