powerhome remodeling group
Has anyone had any work done by them. They just quoted us $6,800 for 8 31 inch windows. Includes installation. Is this a good price?

That sounds a little high to me. I was quoted 5400 for 12 double pane windows - nine 31", two 36", and a bathroom window ...plus a picture window with the two regular sized windows on the side.
I was quoted about 7500 for the same windows -- triple pane.

I just always think you need multiple estimates. Otherwise, you have nothing to compare it to, and no negotiating leverage.

Look up some reviews online. DH and I had them give us an estimate for a roof (which came in around $30K!!) and, as the online reviews said, which we only read after, we could NOT get the salesperson to leave. Hours. He was at our home for hours and was relentless. These are the people that come around door to door and offer free estimates right?
Anyway, I don't know about the quality of their work, but when I started reading up on their sales tactics online (and some bait and switch jobs), on top of the crazy prices, we just never called them back. Once we finally got the guy to leave. My DH actually had to start BBQing our dinner and we were literally eating in front of him. Hours.

soooo true. it was almost midnight when he finally left. I cancelled the installation with them.
