NST's and 31 week appointment

Okay i went to a doppler sonogram (for identical twins) today and all looks like its going according to plan. I also met with a new doctor who will evaluate me till the end of my pregnancy now....a perintologist. He seems very nice. He said everything looks great right now and he is very happy with everything he sees. He said that now is the time that they have to start worrying about pre term labor and that if that happens between now and 34 weeks they will do everything to try and stop it, and after 34 weeks if i start going into labor they will take the babies. Right now i am scheduled at 37 weeks to be delivered but he told me to be prepared to go earlier and that any day it can happen.

I am starting to go to Non Stress Tests once a week (2 hours for twins) too, so i have about 2 doctors appts a week now going forward but i am glad they are closely watching me.

I forgot to ask the weights so i don't know. Other then that he seemed happy with everything. I still can't believe that in 3 weeks that i can become a mommy at any minute.

I get so nervous too, that i may go earlier than I thought

I am having identicals too and I have been getting dopplers since around week 21 - it's reassuring, as I'm sure you'll find. There is also a test called FFN, which might be part of your pre-term labor work up... it measures a protein that can predict whether or not you will go into labor within the next 2 weeks. It's always a relief when it comes back negative! Good luck with all of the appointments
