Thanks

Re: Fave Part of the Carolinas
I love going to North Myrtle Beach.
It can get humid just like any beach town on the Southern East Coast. I was down there once in mid-August and it reached 100 degrees and was humid.
eta...DH and I enjoy going down there a week after Labor day it isn't as hot but still beach weather and less crowded.

Re: Fave Part of the Carolinas
I go down to Myrtle Beach each year, it can get very hot and humid.
ETA I usually like going in early June because its nice weather there, this year we are going again end of July/early August and i'm expecting it to be hot/humid.

Fave Part of the Carolinas
We went to Hilton Head, SC at the beginning of September and loved it. It was in the high eighties/low nineties and was humid, and I'm not one for heat and humidity, but it didn't bother me too much.

Kure Beach/Carolina Beach...we got every summer. It is hot, but I wouldn't say it's melt on the sidewalk hot. The pool and beach make it bearable.

The humidity is awful.. but I am also 3 hours from the beach so not sure if it is a little better there....
I would say high 90's throughout the summer.. The normal summer heat really, its just that damn humdity from July -Aug that will get ya.
ETA: How did I forget Hilton Head?! That place is great too

Fave Part of the Carolinas
We go to north myrtle beach every year bc my mother has a house there. It's usually very hot and at times not even enjoyable. Last year we went at the end of July and the humidity was low, the weather was great, cooler there then it was up here.

Kure Beach/Carolina Beach...we got every summer. It is hot, but I wouldn't say it's melt on the sidewalk hot. The pool and beach make it bearable.
We took a few trips here. I really liked it.

Re: Fave Part of the Carolinas
Im actually moving to North Charleston,SC in August. Whenever I visited we'd always just hang around Charleston, Summerville and for the beach we'd always hang out at Isle of Palms. Although it does get really hot.

Totally depends on what you are looking for.. We are beach, water people. To us, outer banks for that is over rated. Very cool place. Very clean. But unimpressed with water.
We live near crystal coast. Emerald Isle. Love it. Gorgeous. Not much to do other then that though.
Not a fan of topsail at all. Once the tide comes in, people sitting on top of each other.
Sunset beach is incredible. Secluded but close enough to myrtle to be entertained in the south, north is Wilmington. Very family friendly.
I love myrtle. My husband hates it. He thinks it is way too trashy.
He prefers south to that, pawley's island. Basically a private beach with tons of space to fly his kites.
Folly beach is a big party. Perfect for seafood loving beach bums.
Hilton head is nice, esp if u golf.
Kiawah island is nice too...but only for a day or 2, then the myrtle beach need kicks in.
Charleston is hot as he'll.
