Granuloma in belly button
Has anyone's LO needed to have the granuloma in the belly button removed?
My son is almost 3 months and he has been having his belly button treated by the pediatrician since he was born. He has had several treatments where they tried to freeze off the granuloma. At 3 months my son is still holding onto it.
We are meeting a w surgeon on wed for a consultation Has anyone been thru this? Was it done w surgery? Or any other treatments? Just was wondering what to expect on this upcoming visit

Granuloma in belly button
I don't know if it is beyond this point already, but when my daughter's umbilical cord fell off she had a granuloma. Our ped recommended putting kosher salt on it twice a day for 3 days. She said she always recommends that before cauterizing and 9 times out of 10, that takes care of it. It worked like a charm for us.

Just figured a natural treatment was worth a shot, since you seemed hesitant about surgery.

Thank goodness no surgery This was a great surgeon He used a very intense session of Silver nitrate. While he did that he peeled off the granuloma. After 20 dreadful minutes his granuloma has been removed. He will have some discomfort but overall much better option that surgery
Message me if you have any questions
