Make-up
DH and I saw a news story about how on average women absorb 5 pounds of make-up into their skin every year. I wear make-up every day but now I'm wondering if it's pregnancy-safe. Does anyone have any input?

I'm sure it's fine - women have been wearing make up for decades.... Personally, I don't wear make-up daily, but I never have.

Re: Make-up
I've never even thought about this - I wear make-up everyday, and will continue to. If anything, our little guy will come out with blush rosy cheeks and long thick eyelashes :P

I found this on baby center, gives you all the info on different types of skin care including makeup. Tells you which ingredients to avoid and what not to worry about.

Thank you for this and all of you for responding! I would have never even thought twice about it either except for that news story when DH looked at me and said "is make-up ok for you to use?" lol

Make-up
My first pregnancy, I cut out a lot of stuff, not because I knew for sure it was bad, but looking up all the ingredients was just too exhausting. Even some ingredients that are "natural" were not recommended for pregnancy. I just stuck with a moisturizer without any wrinkle fighting chemicals and the minimum of makeup I was comfortable wearing to work.
