2nd try... Long Beach Island or Seaside Heights
I was telling DH about Moheghan Sun and he was not thrilled being that we don't even gamble... I think when we go to AC we spend about $40 between the 2 of us in the casinos and we are done.
So I was thinking the Jersey Shore.
We are going with DS to Wildwood soon but for this trip later in the summer, overnight (maybe 2 nights) we would be alone.
So I was looking at hotels/motels on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights because we don't need the quiet if DS isn't with us but it doesn't seem romantic at all.
Then I was looking at LBI and it seems much more relaxed but what is there to do?

LBI is more family friendly especially on the weekdays.

Why don't you do Cape May? Adorable bed and breakfasts, amazing restaurants that are BYO, cute stores, lighthouse, wineries. There is even whale/dolphin watching boats. You can pm me with any questions.

Well we are most likely only going for 1 night and that's a long drive especially since we will be in Wildwood a few weeks before this trip and we are planning on going to Cape May for the while we are staying in Wildwood.

I just worry that DH will get bored in LBI. He isn't a total beach person like I am. I could sit on the beach for hours and hours but he would get too antsy. Are there things to do there?

Ahh I understand. I'm not too familiar with LBI. Can you do Greenport? Hit some wineries on the way, do Claudio's. Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ, is nice too. Monmouth Park racetrack is there, nice restaurants, the beach.

There are tons of things to do. Plenty of restaurants and places to grab a drink, shopping, amusement park, water slide. You can rent jet skis, mini golf
All typical beach type things
