When do you purge shoes?
I should probably toss most of my boots this year and buy some new ones. When do you call it a day w/some of your older shoes?

Almost Never!!! I have a sickness called, 'hoard every since pair of shoes since 1982.'

Some of my old boots - and some of my older sandals - are pretty shot. They've been reheeled quite a few times, but the zippers are starting to stick, etc.
Mind you, ALL winter, all I wear to work are pants, and 99% of the time I wear the same pair of black high heel boots. So should I just donate/toss the other shoes and get a new pair of those? Ideally I'd like ONE pair of black and one pair of camel, but camel is hard to find.

When do you purge shoes?
Almost never! I did chuck a few pairs recently when I was cleaning out the spare room to make room to start prepping our nursery but otherwise never ever

I feel like in the fall/winter I wear black heeled boots EVERY day and in the summer I have ONE pair of neutral espadrilles that I gravitate to OR my havaiananas flip flops. I hardly ever even LOOK at my other shoes.

This.
I still have the navy silk Via Spiga strappy heels that I wore in my sister's wedding in 1994 !
I might even have the first pair of Joan & David heels that I bought in the late 80's.
But I recently did a purge of the high heels that I can no longer wear, or the shoes that are just too tight. Darn arthritis, really messes up with fashionable shoes.
I also tossed those that were worn and can't be repaired.

Yes, purge! I keep shoes until they fall apart, but I don't have many.
For work, I mostly wear brown boots/black low wedge ballet slipper type shoes in the winter & tan sandals or the same black shoes in the summer.
I just keep a few impractical shoes for weddings.
I just threw out 7 pairs & donated 1.The 7 were beat, I only kept them b/c I need to make sure the replacement shoes are comfortable & then I forget abut the old ones.
The decent ones, weren't comfortable. I only wore them a few times & found better black work shoes.

I purged a little. Got rid of 2 pairs of boots and 2 pairs of sandals. Maybe more tonight, who knows.
When I get rid of stuff my sicko brain thinks 'oh this shoe is so sad you're giving it away"
