Inducing tonight
I terrified!
Doctor said I am still carrying high and that he was concerned. So they are inducing tonight. No sonogram was done and now I am on the verge of having a nervous breakdown. Husband looked like he was about to vomit.
Should I be nervous? Have any of you been induced or gotten a C section?

Inducing tonight
I had a successful induction with DS. 10 hrs total from entering the room to holding my baby. No pain, lovely nurses, quick process! The worst part was being so hungry the whole day!!!
Good luck! Go in with a positive attitude! I think it makes a huge difference in how you handle the situation!

i was induced and had a vaginal birth. My water broke but I was not dilated.. had cervadil inserted which started my contractions and about 12 hours later DS was born. Good luck!!!

Inducing tonight
I had a medically necessary induction due to low fluid that took 65 hours from the time I was admitted to the time DD was born. In the end it was successful and that's what matters. Good luck!

Good luck! I had a successful vaginal delivery from induction on June 25. Labored for 24 hours and pain was worse than expected thanks to pitocin but it was all well worth it!

Re: Inducing tonight
I was induced 2 weeks ago at 39weeks. I had a vaginal delivery. The cervidil didn't really do anything for me. The pitocin along with the doctor breaking my water is what got the ball rolling. I went from 2cm to almost 7cm in an hour at that point.
I was extremely nervous as well but you will do great and the nurses, doctors, along with your DH will get you through it! Just go in with an open mind and not too many expectations (that helped me). Good luck!

Re: Inducing tonight
I also had a successful induction almost a year ago and delivered DD vaginally. It went so well that I was only given Cervadil and didn't need Pitocin. Dr broke my water.
It is nerve racking but you will be fine!! Healthy and quick delivery to you!
Also, like a pp mentioned, eat before you go! I didn't know this and ended up not eating for a long time. Luckily, my dr gave the go ahead at one point nad I was able to eat before I delivered but you may not be eating so definitely have something before you go.

Re: Inducing tonight
Good luck! I was induced 6 weeks ago. Cervidil did its job quickly and I never needed Pitocin. Got Cervidil at 10 p.m. and delivered vaginally at 6:37 a.m.
