Recommend your flat rate movers, please! No hourly.
Thanks!

Flat Rate Movers
If it is for a local move I think they all do hourly. At least that has been my experience.

Re: Flat Rate Movers
Not sure if they are flat rate, but a lot of my clients have used and like Verity Movers in Seaford.
Also, there is a company called "Flat Rate Movers" that my old law firm used to recommend all the time to employees who were moving/relocating to the area. I actually used them myself when I moved between apartments in Manhattan, but I've seen them working out here. They were VERY good -- on time, careful with everything, fast. But they weren't the cheapest. I don't recall the rate, but I assume given the name of the company, they'll give you a flat rate!
Sometimes with moving companies (which are so notoriously shady), I think you get what you pay for.

Re: Flat Rate Movers
My only good NYC moving experience was doing flat rate with Dumbo Moving.
Super nice guys, the quote didn't change on move day (even though I added some boxes!), and they didn't break anything. After they were gone and we were in our new apartment with all of our boxes stacked up and we were just incredulous that nothing went wrong!
Moving in the past hasn't been easy for me

Re: Flat Rate Movers
We used Imperial Movers last year for a local move. They were flat rate and didn't try to add on for a single thing. We were very happy with them. They're based in Manhattan.
