Anybody familiar with the Masera Learning Center (BOCES)?

I sent an application packet to Boces of Suffolk County, and I got a letter that my DD was accepted to the Masera Learning Center. I have only heard of the Prehm school (not sure of the exact name); and I've heard all good things about them. But I've not heard of the Masera Learning Center. Hoping to get some feedback.

Are you talking about Masera in Islip? I know 2 people who took their kids out. I heard great things about Prem

What did you observe to make you say it seems good? My DD doesn't have autism, so I'm wondering how it will be for her. She is VERY social, and I want to be sure she is in a place with other children who are social, and where she can have some children to model.

Ask to see Bay Port/blue Points Program. The SD I work for LOVES this program and has 3 students cross district there. The psychologist who is running the program seems great. He participated in a meeting we had by phone and we all really liked him. The parents also seem to love program too. It's definitely worth looking at if your district can cross contract to that district. The make up of the program has varied diagnoses, not mostly autism. The kids we sent there are extremely social, just very low functioning.
