Jewelery Insurance ?
How much should your jewelery be worth to get insurance on it?
From what I understand getting insurance on every piece of jewelery you own is not worth the premium you'll pay.

Jewelery Insurance ?
My jewelry is just a rider on our homeowners - we just did a flat rate that would be sufficient to cover my engagement and wedding band along with a handful of other pieces. Before we purchased our house, they were riders on our renters insurance.

Us too. We got our most valuable pieces appraised (engagement ring, wedding bands, diamond earrings from DH etc.) and the insurance company wrote a rider added to our homeowners policy based on the appraised value.

Jewelery Insurance ?
I have my most valuable pieces appraised and insured. None of the little stuff.
My "big stuff" is 3k+. E-Ring, Wedding band, my newly lost/found necklace.
And by the way. I toyed with putting in a claim on the necklace. Its been over a year. But my DH said wait. I think if I had put in the claim it would have been "lost" forever in my mind. So I waited. Glad I waited to put in a claim.
Rider on Homeowners.

Jewelery Insurance ?
Rider on my homeowners (previously my renters) I figured our wedding bands, e ring and diamond necklace. After that nothing much. There is a small bit of coverage on your standard homeowners ($250) so the rest falls into that category (if not less than $20 LOL)
Once on my policy, I can't go to another policy unless I get them reappraised (its been over 10yrs) so yet another reason I'm sticking with my carrier LOL

Jewelery Insurance ?
I have a a bunch of items that are insured in addition to my e-ring and wedding band. We have a plan through Allstate attached to our renters insurance - I think it's about $15/month. I have all jewelry that is over $1000 insured. They were all appraised and then the total combined value is what it says is covered on our insurance.

Jewelery Insurance ?
My engagement ring was over $20,000 so we insured it. We pay $65 quarterly through State Farm.

Re: Jewelery Insurance ?
We have it through homeowners ins as well. My E Ring was listed separately and then had a bunch if misc jewelry under as well.
If you keep it in a vault, the premium is a little smaller.
