Any advice for a coop interview with the board? What should I expect?

Mine was extremely basic - have you ever lived in an apt before? How do you get along with your neighbors? You know you can't play loud music, vacuum etc at night, right?. It was more of a "meet the person to make sure they aren't completely sketchy" type of thing. I was told no one that qualified for a mortgage and had good financials was ever turned down by the board.

Re: coops
Ours was easy too. Just be yourself, you'll be fine. Good luck!

Re: coops
I agree with the above posters. I sell a lot of co-ops on Long Island (if that's where it is), and for the most part, the interview is more of a formality. It winds up being a "welcome to the building" type thing, as well as going over "house rules" and procedures (where to put garbage, etc.).
By the time you get to the interview, they have usually fully vetted your finances and background, so unless you do something totally egregious, it should be fine!
But I will say to always be nice and accommodating of their requests, no matter how annoying. My colleague had a listing in the Five Towns area, and the buyer got a little nasty about having to make additional copies of something for the board, and the board rejected the buyer based on the lack of cooperation in the process with the paperwork.
Good luck!

I was on my co-op board, and it is exactly this.
