New Gym Memberships- Who has the best deal?
Any deals going on for new memberships at any local gyms? There is a Retro Fitness, Ballys, LA Fitness, Curves and Plant Fitness all within 10 miles of me.

There's anew crunch in w babylon. Retro always has good dels and so,e locations have classes. Balls/la are much more then the others you listed but also much better imo.

I think it depends on what you want out of a gym. If you only need bare bones then retro or PF would be fine. If you want classes etc then pay more for LA.

Re: New Gym Memberships- Who has the best deal?
I am a gym novice, so for now I'm looking for the basics- treadmills, elliptical, stair climbers, etc. Once I lose the bulk of the weight, I'd like to start classes. Retro Fitness looks like it has it all. Going with a friend on Monday to check it out. Thanks!

Not sure where you live but Big ALS has memberships starting at $10 a month and their package that includes classes is $19.99.
They also put my membership on hold for me when I told them I wanted to cancel .
(I've been going to an outside class 4-5 times a week instead).
What's pricey is if you want a trainer for motivation.

My coworker joined Planet Fitness, said its the cheapest at $10/month but its very basic (no classes, no locker room extras, etc).

I belong to planet fitness. I usually go to the carle place one but prefer the Levittown one since they have a larger selection of equipment. I pay $19.99 for the black card membership which allows you to bring a friend and get discounts on drinks (usually bring my dd).
They do have classes but never attended any(give you a schedule when you first sign up).

I go retro in Ronkonkoma. I love it. It's friendly personable and the classes are good!

I belong to Blink (and go to the one in Islandia). I previously belonged to Planet Fitness. Blink is similar to PF, inexpensive, no classes, but they do have trainers and boot camps. I find Blink much cleaner than the PF I used to go to (Bay Shore). They have plenty of machines, so I never have to wait.

I go to retro fitness. It's inexpensive and they do have classes which may be a separate fee...not sure as I don't use the classes but I do have a trainer which is pretty inexpensive (or so I've heard as I've never had a trainer before now).
