That's so funny- I just made corn the first time yesterday and had to call my mom. I just let it rise to a boil and left it for like 3 minutes - i think it cooks pretty fast once the water boils.

i put it in the water and add sugar and salt to it and bring it to a boil. When it starts to boil i cover it, turn it to low and cook it for 20 minutes or so.

i don't boil corn anymore. I put it in the microwave as it comes from the farm or store, with the husk and silk on.
Experiment with your microwave - it may take from 4-6 minutes for each corn. It comes out slightly crunchy and you don't lose the vitamins in the water.

this is how i do it too. except i wrap it in plastic wrap

I never thought to do this, but I tried it last night and it came out great!
