Bob's Furniture
How does the quality compare to other furniture stores? Is it worth buying?

Bob's Furniture
Not good - DH bought a couch that literally fell apart in less than 1 yr (the entire wood frame broke). Luckily he had taken out the warranty - first they came and fixed it - that didn't really work and so they gave him full credit to purchase something else. The couch he replaced it with is OK, but not great by any stretch. We also ordered a dresser that came with a giant hole in the back. There was no way the delivery guys could have missed it but they didn't say a word. We saw it and they replaced it, but it never should have been delivered to us that way.

It depends. I have a sleeper couch I've had for 4 years and it's like new.

Re: Bob's Furniture
Im going on 8 years with their couches and dining room set. I have gotten a ton of compliments on my dining room set-specially the china cabinet. The couch started to get flat after about 1 year which aggravated me, but they came every year I called and restuffed them. They also tightened up a coffee table that was loose. I definitely don't think it's top quality so it depends on what you're looking for. I have 2 toddlers so I plan on replacing after they ruin it lol. That being said, I purchased my Master BR furniture and formal living room set from somewhere else.

Bob's Furniture
Depends. My first dining set didn't even last 18 months. My IL's living room furniture is from there and is about 5 years old and the couch cushions started sagging after a year or 2. They're so crappy.
However, we have a Bobopedic and love it.

It's not great quality. My dining room set didn't hold up that well.
IMHO you get what you pay for when it comes to furniture.

IMO, you get what you pay for in terms of quality. Bobs furniture is cheap for a reason.

Re: Bob's Furniture
I bought a couch and I wish I didn't. I didn't want to pay a lot because my children are still messy and I have a big dog and I figured to buy the leather ones I really wanted they would have gotten ruined. I should have purchased the ones I wanted. It's a year old the springs are bad, cushions sagging the wood framing you can see coming through back of couch. Their goof proof is a waste too.
My mom got a dining room set from raymour and flannigan. The chair aren't the greatest and 2 arms are loose. She paid a lot for set too. I just think furniture us not made that we'll after all.

Re: Bob's Furniture
I think the one good product that comes out of there is the Bob-o-Pedic.
I think everything else is made to be throw away furniture.
My current living room set is from there, but I knew that going in. I plan on doing just that once we re-do our living room, and then purchasing higher end.
The couches sagged just from when we have guests over. Otherwise we rarely even use our living room.

Re: Bob's Furniture
We have a bobs headboard in our bedroom & entire bedroom set in our bedroom in our vacation home. Its not high quality but I think it fits the price. Our headboard is perfect, had it a few years and the bedroom set is only used a several times a year and is also in perfect condition. I think consumers need to see that its not forever furniture & if its for a space that gets heavy wear & tear it might not be the best unless you just want something temporary.

I don't think it is great but tell you the truth, I got a bunch of stuff from Macys when I got married and that stunk also lol My parents have couches from Bobs that are in good shape after 4 or 5 years. I bought Bassett for our new home and that seems to be great quality.

Re: Bob's Furniture
Our couch is pretty good.... now that I restuffed the cushions and took apart the couch to repair the frame in a few spots.... Our Bob-o-Pedic is still in good shape after about 6 years. Our next couch won't be from Bob's...

Re: Bob's Furniture
We have a couch from Bob's and it's held up really well. It's about 3 years old and looks as good as the day we bought it. And we have an 18 month old son who is climbing and jumping all over it, spilling stuff on it, etc. No complaints.

Re: Bob's Furniture
No complaints. I bought couches from there two years ago, and they're fine. One has suffered, but that's because of my dog. I also bought a coffee table, accent table and end table from there. No problems.

Same here. The only issue I had was that one of my drawers in my dresser broke - I stuffed it too full - but Bob's came right away to check it out. It ended up being unfixable so they gave me a brand new dresser for free.

We have couches from them and they are 2 years old now and are holding up well. My parents have a dining room set from bobs and the chairs are falling apart. It's not even 2 years old yet and they have come our twice to tighten and replace screws. I guess it really depends from item to item.

Do not recommend. Their stuff is cheap for a reason. Our bedroom set broke within a year of purchase.

Our tv stand is from there-it looks more like a dresser than a stand though, and it's held up great (although it's only 2 1/2 years old).

Re: Bob's Furniture
It depends what you buy, not all the brands they sell are the same in quality. But really, nobody makes good furniture anymore, unless you are paying a fortune for real wood

Bob's Furniture
We have a recliner, pull out sofa, and tv stand from bob's.
All are holding up quite well and all are over 6 years old now.
Most of the commercially available furniture out now is pretty much crap, mostly it's all from the same makers sold at different prices

It depends.
We got end tables/coffee table from there and the drawers broke quickly and they scratched easily.
We got our bedroom set from there and it's still in good shape after 7 years.

I think it depends. I've heard good reviews and I've heard awful reviews. My sister has a few pieces from Bob's and she's never had any issues.
When DH and I went furniture shopping we checked there because my sister had recommended it and every single thing we saw in the store felt incredibly cheap and flimsy.
