Anxiety about September
I know it is far away but I am already having anxiety about going back to school. This is the first time I have ever been off for the summer. Every time I go to the store and I see all the supplies, I start to feel like I need to get a move on preparing things. Am I the only one??? I hate going to stores and seeing all the commercials about Back to School! I am dreading September!!!

I'm a little anxious too. This will be my first year and so this is all new to me. I will also be going from SAHM to FTWM with my DD in daycare. I'm excited to start my career, but also a little apprehensive, I think it's normal.

You are certainly not alone! I just got a job for september after having been excessed for the past few years. I am truly over the moon about it but sick to my stomach all at once. It's weird to have so much excitement and dread all at once. My mind keeps racing about it. I started prepping a few weeks ago but didn't do much this past week. I keep thinking...can I handle all of this responsibility again? Especially with all of the changes? Aaack!!

Yes 
I have to leave my daughter that was just born at the beginning of June...she'll be 13 weeks when I go back. I really don't wanna leave her.
Also, I've always been primary...6 years as a kindergarten teacher and then I switched to reading and did K and 1 remedial for 2 years. This year, I'm going to be split, .8 at my elementary school and .2 at the middle school  I have no idea what to do with middle schoolers!

That's WONDERFUL! Are you Elementary? NYC? You're VERY lucky after being in excess for a couple of years to get something! I was excessed after 11 years of teaching elementary back in June of 2011. I did the horrific excess thing for three months than landed a permanent job so I too got so lucky. In fact, I LOVE my school and I believe everything happens for a reason!

Yes, I am elementary. I was actually callled back to the district I worked in in Suffolk. I was excessed from there after 11 years! Congrats on your new position!

Anxiety about September
SO MUCH ANXIETY!!! More this year than any other. I'm moving to a testing grade with kids I already had (loved them, but I have to come up with new tricks!!!).
