Report: Big Bang Stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco Ink New $90 Million Deals
Warner Bros. has shown Big Bang Theory stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco the money.
After protracted negotiations that pushed back the show’s Season 8 start date until Wednesday, the trio have agreed to new three-year contracts worth $1 million an episode, per Deadline. (That’s up from the $300K-an-episode they had been earning.) When all the perks are factored in — including signing bonuses and back-end fees — the actors will likely pocket north of $90 million over the three years.
With Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco on board, and co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik already signed, all eyes turn to Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar (who are currently fetching $125 and $75K per episode, respectively). The pair remain in active talks are are expected to close new pacts today or, at the latest, tomorrow.
Back in March, CBS renewed Big Bang for three more seasons — through May 2017 — contingent on the cast’s contracts staying current. According to Deadline, the actors’ new contracts leave open the possibility of an 11th season.

I do think it's funny but I agree with whoever said they're not curing cancer. I suppose they felt they needed to stand up for poor downtrodden Hollywood actors.

Nope!
I've given it so many chances and I just don't find it funny.
The cast of friends did the same thing. But they were TOTALLY worth it

Not the only one. I HATE HATE this show. I've tried so many times to watch and 15 min in I can't change the channel fast enough. I find humor in a lot things but this show isn't one of them. I don't get the obsession ppl have with it

I agree. Ugh, and not because I'm bitter that I make pennies. I think it's so ridiculous to earn that much money just for pretending to be someone else!

My husband and I love this show!! The money they make is a little ridiculious though.

Couldnt agree more. And i cant stand kaley couco. So thats another reason i dont watch.

I love the show...I feel like people either love it or hate it. There are loads of references that they make that fly under the radar for some people. My coworker has no idea why I find the show to be hilarious...but she doesn't understand much about comics, video games, science, etc.
Its a ton of money by I can't say I blame them. If I was on the #1 show on television, I would try to get as much money as I could, too.

I hate this show too. DH likes it, and I can't even stand the sound of their voices when it's on.

I always feel like a crazy person when people talk about how much they LOVE this show. I "get" it and why it's supposed to be funny, but it just isn't. And I really, really tried to get into it.
Either way that's a ridiculous amount of money for anyone to be paid, IMO.

I LOVE this show, it's one of the few I watch regularly. IMO, it is much funnier if you are close to someone who resembles some of the characters.
As for the money, it is ridiculous, but the cast of Friends was making this much in their final seasons. Athletes make this much. I think it's crazy, but if the show is making the network the amount of $$ that would allow them to pay that much, I'd ask for it too if I were an actor.
