Personal Injury lawsuit- time table?
Does anyone know how long you have from the date of injury (car accident) to file suit? I got hurt last year and have been getting treatment with the mindset of "let's wait and see" if I need more than conservative treatment before starting something. I'm now on my 3rd spinal epidural and surgery is looking more likely.

Statute of limitations in ny is 3 yrs.

3 years... I received papers when I got sued the night before the 3 years was up.

Personal Injury lawsuit- time table?
You only need to sue if you are not happy with the offer that the insurance company makes you and they will not negotiate to your liking. Your medical bills will continue to be paid under your no-fault until your reach the dollar limit (there is no time limit for the no-fault).
