weekend getaway
I'm sure its been asked a gazillion times but my search isn't really helping. So I apologize in advance.
Looking for a weekend away without the kids. Somewhere 2-4 hours away. Would like to maybe do some outdoor activities.
Poconos? Catskills area? We've done out east before and don't like NYC. Looking for quiet, peaceful, relaxation? not too pricey and only 1-2 nights
THANKS SO MUCH!

weekend getaway
I say Catskills! Went multiple times in the summer And winter and love it!! We stay near the hunter mountain area. Booked a bed and breakfast and took the lifts up the mountain in summer gorgeous views. Hiked kaaterskill falls, super easy 1 mile hike. Gorgeous waterfall at the end of it.

weekend getaway
I haven't gone yet but DH and I are going to Saratoga Springs. Doing the track one day and then going to Saratoga Spa State Park and exploring the next day. Lake George is about 20 minutes away but we are just going to explore Saratoga.

weekend getaway
we just overnight to Newport Rhode Island. We went w/out our kids. It was fun. We drank and stayed by the pool during the day, then theres a downtown area, and we walked by the piers, went to dinner, found a bar for a few drinks after, then grabbed ice cream, and went to the hotel and slept all night with no interruptions lol.
There's the cliff walk where you walk along the water and look at all the mansions. We didn't do that this time but have in the past. There's also a beach near by

Re: weekend getaway
I would check out whatever deals they have on groupon and living social and let that dictate where you go.
