24 Weeks and I haven't...
Purchased anything for baby nor have we registered! I've been so nervous to do anything like that, I'm just now allowing myself to believe that this baby is going to actually be coming home with us in less than 4 months. I am 99% sure we're going to go start our registry this weekend, at the very least to pick out the crib & nursery set (or narrow it down). My sil and bil brought down a bunch of winter baby clothes for him when they came down this weekend along with this adorable bouncing chair, hand-me-downs from our nephew. I have no idea where we're going to put all the clothes this little boy is going to get!
I hope I'm not super late to the party, I know we need to get on the crib & nursery gear because it can take a while for it to be delivered.

24 Weeks and I haven't...
I'm superstitious, so I am not getting anything right now. If I find I have to shop for something, I'm bringing it to my MIL's till the baby is born.
I will have the crib come after he's born, but I am ordering it beforehand.

24 Weeks and I haven't...
I totally understand. We are gonna go look at furniture but I'm not buying it yet. I will probably register around 24 weeks. I been putting everything off bc I am so nervous. I figure as long as I have the basics when LO is born it will be fine.
Definitely start looking at furniture and start setting up a registry if you are having a shower. 24 weeks is viability!!! So have fun!

24 Weeks and I haven't...
I know 24 weeks = Viability, so that's sort of been what I've been waiting for. My friends who have recently had babies have been warning me that it could take upwards of 12 weeks for furniture to arrive, 12 weeks brings me to 36 weeks! I feel like by then I want to have everything set up or almost all set up....

24 Weeks and I haven't...
We got our furniture from BRU and ordered early like the books suggested and it came in two weeks! The nursery wasn't even close to finished (major stuff like walls, floors, electric, etc) but it got DH in gear bc we had nowhere else to store it.
As far as registering, it took me a long time to get it all done. I researched and had big things like the carseat and stroller picked out so DH and I went in and added all the big stuff and whatever we could get done in a day. I went back a few more times to add smaller stuff and make changes until I was happy with everything. I'd say start soon and try to do it in chunks. And have fun!

Re: 24 Weeks and I haven't...
It's a good idea to start registering now, esp if you'll be having a shower. It took me a good while to finalize my registry. I did a lot of research and kept dropping/adding/changing things. The Baby Bargains book helped a ton. As for furniture- I wouldn't stress it. Some of it can take awhile to be delivered, but in you may not even need it right away, depending on what your plans are for sleeping arrangements. We had the baby in the rock n play in our room for the first few months. Happy shopping!

That's a good point about the furniture, he'll likely be in our room in the pack-n-play for a while, at least the first few weeks.

Re: 24 Weeks and I haven't...
I'm already done with my registry lol can you tell I'm a planner and way too excited over this?! So far I have only purchased diapers here and there but no furniture yet until we know what's happening with the house (it's on the market).. So far it's travel lite crib for my room and pack n play for the living rm. You have PLENTY of time still and it's better to approach it with a clear and ready head when you are truly ready, I can't believe how time is flying, it's scary!

You're right! Besides, they always tell you the furniture will take longer than it does. No worries

24 Weeks and I haven't...
The baby bargain book was a life saver! I also started to register around 20 weeks as soon as I found out sex. I did it in 3 visits and online. It was overwhelming. As far as furniture I'm 27 weeks..just ordered yesterday and they told me it's coming in the week I'm due in November. Give yourself some time so you aren't left panicked about not getting it on time

24 Weeks and I haven't...
Ds was born at 28 weeks. I had barely registered and had not had my shower yet. Once he was born he spent 7 weeks in the nicu and I was always there. The morning he came home we went to BRU and bought a bassinet. We did not order a crib until he was 4 months old. And he did not sleep in it until he was 6 months old. You have plenty of time.
