I don't need to see a video of another guy with ALS. I saw a good friend dwindle down from an extremely active guy to not being able to hold his head up & had stick like legs. It was devastating to see.

But it doesn't change my mind. I don't like people being called out publicly to donate to a charity. I like charitable acts to be private.

Also there are several ALS Associates, most of which have high ratings by Charity Navigator. Some of which are run as a deficit, all of which have CEO salaries with $100K+. How much of that money is going to research or to help the families versus program expenses? I worked at a non-profit so I question where I donate my money all of the time & honestly would rather donate to a family with a relative that has ALS.

I'm still glad it is raising awareness.
