ME time
So I am putting my two year old triplets in a preschool 2 mornings a week for 3 hours. The last two years have been intense. One of my boys has mild cerebral palsy and life has been a blur of 6 specialists and ten weekly therapists in addition to the expected chaos of three 2 yo boys! So intense that I just for the first time today saw the new 100 bill, only about a week ago did I see the new green NYC taxi...people talk about the news and it's like they're speaking a foreign language. I feel like I have been living under a rock. like, almost literally.
So now I have six hours of actual freedom. What do I do with it?! I have a groupon for Pilates classes that I am going to try to redeem. And of course there's target :) but seriously, I cannot break the bank. All of our money is going to preschool :) what do you moms do when you are afforded actual "me time"? I'm a little afraid I'll be lonely and bored after all that! /)

Re: ME time
Good for you! For me I would join a gym with good classes during that time and workout and then go home and take an uninterrupted shower!!!!!!

ME time
I usually go to the gym, do a quick food shop if I have to, then go back home to take a shower before picking up my DD. It's nice to have some alone time just to do normal, every day things!

I just saw we put the same thing! I love showering when I dont have to take a 30 sec shower to ensure my DS is not screaming.

Re: ME time
I had 1 (me) week before maternity was done and the first day i was so happy that i was alone for the first hour, did laundry, cleaned the kitchen by hour three i didnt know what to do with myself almost lonely then i had to pick them up. BUT by the last day I got a Mani-Ped and a massage. and then back to work. My Advice do what makes you happy cause you are Mom and you do it all. You deserve it

Re: ME time
Oh I can't wait for the day dd2 is in school a few mornings lol
But it's like a vacation for me when dd1 is is school and I only have one kid lol
I usually do my shopping, and errands, and hit the gym for n hour or so and put dd2 in the daycare
If I was by myself I would def get a mani/pedi, shop, hit the gym, relax at home, do some cleaning.
have fun! it's great to have some breaks!

Re: ME time
last year i signed my daughter up to a 2 yr program and was harder for me to let her go then her i think lol . I didnt do much last year while she was at school in case they called me to pick her up ( which they never did haha ) This year i had her home with me all summer and loved every min ( even the ones i really didnt at the time ) terrible threes are worse the twos hahah.
This yearI am going to do all me time ...i plan to sign back up to kick boxing , for the three days she goes to school and take a nice long hot shower each day where i can was my hair and body with actual soap shampoo and conditioner hahah maybe even do a load of laundry and vaccuum once in a while hahahah

Re: ME time
Me time? As in, not doing what I 'have to' be doing for the house, kids, family, work etc? No cooking, shopping, cleaning closets, laundry etc etc in "peace" - b/c sadly when I take a day off, that's how I usually end up spending it even it I'm alone.
I'd say do what makes you feel relaxed - I'd try to meet up w/ a friend for lunch or a cup of coffee - take a walk (I'm not a big fan of the gym - I'd rather be outside) Go shopping NOT for the house or kids or fridge !!! Watch a movie - that I choose, w/o interruption - lol
Enjoy !!

Re: ME time
I still has one at home full time but this is what I dream of...
Taking a bath Reading a magazine Going for walks with the dogs Grocery shopping alone Watching dvr shows Walking around home goods Going to Starbucks and sitting in the car in peace Laying outside on the lounge chairs Cleaning in peace
