Full time openings
I work in a K-12 charter school in east ny brooklyn. We are a union charter so we follow doe pay scale, and benefits, and union dues, etc. You are just not in the doe system with a file number.
I know they are trying to interview and hire ASAP due to school starting next week. We have:
6th gr generalist 7th gr math ESL in the K-8 building 8th grade science
2 HS global studies teachers needed 1 HS ELA teacher needed.
Let me know if you are interested and I will let you know where to send your resume to, if it is the lower or upper grades.

Re: Full time openings
Asking for a friend. I know nothing about the area. How is it? How's the school atmosphere? If you do work in a Charter School and ever leave it can you go back to a DOE school?
Thank you.

It's a low income area in brooklyn, who as a community the children are underserved and have some of the lowest scoring children.
However we have kids from outside of the district attend the charter and have some really great kids. It is a small high school with about 300 students in total. The K-8 building is larger with more staff.
If you had a file number you can go back to doe I believe....but I am not 100% sure because I am not in the doe system. You are under the UFT charter and pay union dues and get the union benefits.
