UPK teacher schedule questions...opinions

So I've taught in catholic school for 10 years. I have a masters and certification. I finally applied to the DOE and got a UPK job. I'm very happy about it because I no longer wanted to teach in catholic school.

So here's the deal: I'm a UPK teacher in a Community based organization. My students, who are great kids and most have attended school in the day care since age two, come to school from 8:30-2:50. Most of my students go upstairs for what's called "extended day."
Now my hours are 8:20-5:20. So basically after teaching my class they want me to go upstairs to do some extra work with the kids until my day is over.
I also do not have the regular school vacations (December, February week, Easter/Passover) I have to work in the day care those days or they will dock my pay if I don't work.
I do get 5 vacation days and 5 sick days.

If I decide I can't do extended day, I was told they dock my pay.
So does anyone work as a UPK teacher in a CBO and can tell me if this is normal? My a UPK students follow the DOE vacation schedule,

A friend of mine just got a job as a PreK teacher in a CBO, she follows the DOE schedule and she is not mandated to do after school but this may be determined by the indivdual school?

Yes I'm wondering if that's what is going on because if that was the case I would have looked elsewhere. I thought maybe this is how CBO's work..,now I'm wondering. I just don't understand how they dock pay if I'm doing my UPK job. Should I ask the director?

Are I being paid by the doe or by the cbo I would think that would tell you who you should follow
