What did you do...??

When you were being induced?
I am being induced soon and am not dialated at all so I know it will take a while. I'm thinking I'll try to read, sleep, tv. Anything else you would suggest??? Also, any good light hearted books you'd recommend??

Made a few phone calls, flipped through a few magazines, watched tv, talked to DH. I was induced at night, so it was easy for me to sleep. I'd def try to get as much rest as possible. Good luck!

I brought a dvd player and watched some shows to help calm me down during the bad contractions. But before that I had a waiting room full of family that visited w me. It was like one big party lol

I didn't have cable back when I had DD. I was so looking forward to watching tv. I ended up going into labor on a sunday and there was nothing on! I was so annoyed and honestly I was pretty bored. I skyped with my family in the lobby now and then and tried to nap but that didn't happen. I really just hung out with Dh and my mom and watched the monitors since you could see everyone's contractions on the floor. I was pain free up until I pushed so I couldn't complain!

Watched tv, tried to sleep, ate ice chips, peed a lot lol

I watched tv and talked to dh. He was with me the entire time. That and I tried to get some rest when I could.

Even though it was many hours, the time went so fast I feel like I didn't do much. I watched TV, talked on the phone/texted, used my kindle, read newspaper/magazines, talked to DH.

I I had a room full of people in and out all day. Time flew. I napped a little and watched tv.

Thanks everyone! I picked up a book and figured if watch some tv. Praying I can sleep as well!!

I didn't have a tv in my room, but i was induced at midnight. I didn't sleep though. I hated the first 12 hours of my induction

I watched tv and talked on the phone to my friends. When I was having contractions I'd mute the phone lol

Talked to DH, texted friends/family, surfed the internet on my iPad and watched TV

As soon as I got my epidural though I slept the rest of the time till it was time to push

Watched a marathon of Sex and the City on E! (my husband was not pleased LOL). I basically just watched TV the whole time. I Had my ipad and phone but didn't use it.

I brought my ipad with me to the hospital thinking I would watch netflix and surf the internet, but never used it. I think I was just too nervous and excited to really be focused on anything. I absentmindedly watched tv (say yes to the dress was the only thing decent on the whole time..lol).

If anything, bring magazines since it's just easy to flip through. I don't see how people can actually read a book knowing that their baby is on the way! lol

I'm being induced at 10pm...what did you hate about the first 12 hours???
