BRAS SUCK

I am still at work, have another hour and a half, and I just had to unhook my massive bra in the back because it was hurting too much. I've already spent $300 on bras so far this pregnancy! LOL! My doctor recommended the underwire-less nursing bras from Destination Maternity last night, and I'm about to do it, I don't care if my boobs sag to my knees! Chances are this belly will hold them up nicely!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

If you have really big boobs, lame Bryant has some nice comfy ones with no wires

I do - pre pregnancy 36-38 H-HH, now 40H-HH. I've always gone with underwire for the support, so I had no idea!

My boobs are definitely not as big as yours but I still grew to a D, so I need good fitting bras. Underwire is awful when pregnant. Try to avoid it at all costs. The nursing ones at motherhood are great and very comfy! Definitely recommend. They just don't have a lot of support. That's the only drawback.

Am I the only one that finds bras comfortable? lol. I'm a 32DDD normally, but I definitely need to go up to a 34 (possibly up a cup size), but I'm still not uncomfortable. I'm more uncomfortable without one! lol

Re: BRAS SUCK

I really liked the Bravado body silk seamless nursing bra for the end of pregnancy and for nursing. They come with removable soft cups that help hide Nip hehe. Not as supportive as underwire but pretty good to be honest. I actually had a hard time transiting back to regular underwire after weaning because it felt so constrictive/dug into my abdomen.

Destination maternity does not carry bras anywhere near these sizes. I bought one or two bras at time and hand washed them each night because I needed the support of a good under wire bra. Invest in good bras you will be thankful later--my OB stressed this point.

Lol, my ob suggested the one size no underwire because of the pain I'm in. I'm going to have to spend Saturday at the stores.

Go to a good bra shop and have them direct you. You can always purchase the bras elsewhere. On average I spent $60/bra. My size was tough to find and most department stores, etc did not carry it at all.

I've done that three times so far this pregnancy, most recently 3 weeks ago, lol. I bought the bra, was fine when she was fitting me, then when I wore it, within 2 hours I was wanting to rip it off. I actually don't trust these "professional sizers", I'm going to try to do it myself and see how I do on my own. Or get into the city - I've been everywhere on the Island and no one sizes me like the ladies at Linda's Bra in NYC (blums, Helen of Troy, Bare Essentials & Georgette's).

Can you still wear a sports bra? I know its not going to give you much in the way of cushion or support but maybe it'll be more confortable....Chat Icon

The only one that I've ever found to fit me no longer fits me, lol. I'm going to have to do some more trial and error. I'm really thinking of measuring myself to see what I get and trying those on... either that or I'm going full on early 70's and burning my bras!
