personalizing acrylic or plastic tumblers?

I would like to use plastic tumblers (or acrylic - whatever I can find quickly and cheap!) for favors for my child's birthday party which is next weekend.

Anyone know if this is possible?

I am wondering if I use letter stickers or vinyl letters for the names and then paint over them with mod podge to make the letters permanent so the cups can be washed and used over and over? I also happen to have something in my craft cabinet - it says Triple Thick Glaze - maybe that would work?

you just need to buy "permanent" vinyl and make sure you get ALL the air bubbles out when you put it on the cups.
