SIRM found an answer - Exact DQa match!
Well, we may have found a reason for my unexplained problems, including 3 losses - my husband and I are exact DQa matches.
I went for a consult with Dr. T in July thinking I may have an immune issue since I literally get sick (like cold/flu) if I get pregnant.
I had an appt with Dr. T tonight for CD 3 monitoring and he told me my results. It's nice to have an answer/reason, however, reading about exact DQa matches and the chances of having a baby are depressing. I have to pay for everything OOP and they are recommending IVF w PGD and IVIG treatments. I'm so glad I switched to SIRM since I would have wasted my money on IVF at previous clinic with no immune suppression.
Anyways, as a hail mary before we have to think about that route, I am doing one injecticle/iui cycle with prednisone. I have only done clomid cycles in the past.
So anyone have any positive outcomes with exact DQa matches?
Anyone have any Bravelle they are not going to use and would share with an oop payer? Every bit saved for the next step helps.

YES!!! So happy you finally have an answer. You have been through so much and you trusted your instincts. Dr. T has found gotten so many of us our miracle babies. I'm so glad you got tested. What does he think the prognosis is??? You should FM babydreams21 bc Dr. T found the similar with her and she is now pregnant. You will most likely be on intralipids and prednisone but it is possible from what I researched. If I were you, I would totally try the IUI cycle first being that you have gotten pregnant on your own. You never know. Sometimes the NK cells do not activate and the embryo can implant successfully. When is he going to start the intralipids for that?

Thanks Lillies! We are just doing prednisone with the IUI cycle. We will discuss the intralipids if this doesn't work. It was just nice to hear that I'm not crazy thinking that my immune reaction was playing a part. We should have my NK results in a few days, but Dr T says he suspects they'll be elevated. He said some people with DQ matches respond to treatment and some don't and have to pursue surrogacy.

My DS is the result of IVF with PGD and the whole immune protocol with Dr.T at SIRM 
FM with questions!

Glad you have some answers. We were unexplained with several failed IVFs. Went to SIRM for some answers. We have a partial DQ Alpha match. We used prednisone and intralipids with IVF and finally got a BFP. I believe the prednisone and intralipds did the trick for me.
FM with any questions and about meds.
