Anyone? Been on Norweigen Gem or Breakaway?
Looking for feedback on either cruises out of NYC. Our annual November Cabo San Lucas trip is now cancelled due to the terrible damage from the hurricane.

Anyone? Been on Norweigen Gem or Breakaway?
I haven't been on the gem but I have heard great things and that it's a ship that people sail on over and over again. We are going on the gem this winter.

I went on the gem 3 years ago to Bermuda. We had a nice time. It's a slightly older ship,,so not quite all the bells and whistles, but it's nice.we thought the food was good, nice pool area.

I have been on the Norwegian Jewel (sister ship to Gem) and the Breakaway. I went on both with my three children. They had a blast! What specific questions to you have?

Yes! Both ships are awesome and offer slightly different things but the same overall Norwegian experience. Breakaway is one of the newest ships in the Norwegian fleet and has all the newer entertainment and dining amenities. The Gem is a little older but well maintained and one of my personal favorites. The Gem is also going to be a little cheaper than the breakaway. If you were planning to go in November, I can also tell you that the Gem has some unbelievably cheap rates at the moment for the 11/6 and 11/15 sailings that I still have some availability for.

Thank you everyone. We book the Gem, but we booked the Haven and have a one bedroom suite with the butler and private courtyard~ it wasn't what we planned on - it just kinda happened ! LOL. Also a $500 on board credit too. Hope the weather is calm and peaceful and pleasant !
