Re: Is my spending out of hand?
I've been taking a closer look at our budget lately too, and I spend at least that between Target and take out food which is probably much worse because we have even less to show for it.
I go through spurts in terms of clothes shopping though. I spent a lot over the past month, but I should be pretty set at this point until next spring/summer.

Before I bought my house I probably spent that a month. It's funny, while I still love shopping for clothes and accessories, I'm always looking for deals and spend much less because I'd rather buy something for my house. I do splurge a few times a year on something expensive that I really have to have.
This 100%. Six months ago I would have said $500 a month on clothes/accessories was normal but since we bought our house....forget it. A splurge now is a $10 dress I found on clearance at TJ Maxx. All the money goes to the house and honestly....it stinks. Everyone has something they spend on.....travel, vacations, etc. If your "thing" is clothes, why not? If you have the money and it makes you happy, why not?
