Really good! I got stuck on the baby being in the front seat though! I guess they were trying to show how bad of a Mother she would be?

I just can't stop thinking about the baby and all of the scenes about that storyline. I'm not sure I should watch it anymore because I'm still emotional about it this morning.

She is having a tough time dealing with the loss of Brody and this new baby. Guess Franny reminds her too much of him. It's almost like if she drowned her then that whole part of her life would be non existent and she can just focus on her work like she wants.

i kept thinking also no one is going to tell her you just cant put a car seat in the front seat. She didn't even have it buckled in. I cant stand when people don't do car seat safety properly (not that i am an expert) that it was driving me insane  
i knew she wouldn't be able to handle the baby I wonder if she will ever care for her. if i was her sister i would kind of force her by saying i am no longer taking care of her.
Also i know the actor that played their Dad passed away i wonder if they are going to make that happen in the storyline somehow cause i thought it was kind of weird that the dad isn't around anymore. i know they said at one point Dad isn't helping like he said he would but i still thinks its odd since every time she is at her sisters house he was there and now he is not.

I know!! That was my first thought-I hoped they did that and then someone would correct her about the mistake she was making but it ever came up? Do the writers not have kids to know that? Claire Danes has a baby and should have known. I think it was just to show how not a mom she is and just not aware of any of those things that could be putting the baby at risk. Just like leaving her and jumping into the other guys car!
I had no idea the father passed away! They maybe felt it was too much to cover in the first episode? Maybe he'll pass away later on?

Me too! That bath tub scene scarred me. I had to turn it off for a few mins.

That bathtub scene really turned my stomach. I mean, I get that they are showing that she would be a terrible mother but it was hard to watch. I used to really like Carrie but I find her irritating me already with her selfishness.

I really didn't have any interest in the show after they killed off Brody. I thought it was a big mistake. But after reading these spoilers, maybe I will check it out......but fast forward through the bathroom scene.

Carrie is a horrible mother but it's true to her character. I don't think we could believe her as this loving doting mom. Plus she's mentally ill, which is what I had to keep telling myself during and after the bathtub scene. It was very hard to watch. They definitely had her put the car seat in the car like that to show she didn't know/care what she was doing. As hectic as it is for her sister, the baby is better off with the sister.
I love Quinn and I felt bad for him. I wonder if he'll go with Carrie later on.

I thought the show was GREAT. It exceeded my expectations in a major way. I did not miss Brody at ALL.
They did lay the "Carrie is a bad mom" plotline on pretty thick. I do think, though, that will be a one time thing because of the direction of the story. She simply won't be interacting with the baby much. They've made their point and they have no reason to dwell on it.
It really is uncanny how much the baby looks like Brody.
Anyway, I love the new storyline and look forward to seeing where it goes.

Me too!! That's all my DH and I kept saying.
I thought it was a great first episode and I'm really excited for the season. I loved Brody but I didn't miss him at all.
