anyone not use bcp for ivf and go straight to the shots?
This is something my Dr is potentially going to do when we start. I will be breast feeding through my 2nd IVF (first IVF was a success with my dd). He basically said as long as I don't have any issues and everything is clear that we can start right with the shots(i can't even remember what i started with the last time, Menopur or Follistim (and i'm sure i'm not spelling them right). Anywho, anyone have any experience/success with this? A friend of mine went to a different Dr. and they also did this / skip the bcd's.

For my 2nd IVF, we didn't use bcp. We did for the 1st and it seemed to over suppress me, and BFN. The 2nd time we skipped them altogether, and my daughter was 2 in June.

Never cycles with BCP due to clotting issues. I've always went straight to injectables.

I am actually starting my first IVF cycle with Dr. Brenner and he is also making me skip the birth control pills as well...going straight to shots.

I go straight to injectables. I don't need to be suppressed with my low AMH
