Looking for ideas for a babymoon about 3 hours driving from Long Island.
Our baby is due in April and if the weather isn't too bad I want to plan something. I figured Jan-Feb, for 2-3 nights, any suggestions. I don't want to do anything that requires too much outdoors but I want to do something. I have looked into spas but I am open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks.

We went the first week of September up to Saratoga Springs for a week (5 nights). I was 27 weeks (?, I think) and it was an easy ride (we used to live up there, so I was pretty used to it), and we stayed at an INCREDIBLE B&B. We had an amazing week.

Crystal Springs Resort and Spa in Hamburg, NJ. It''s right by Mount Vernon. The spa, hotel, and biosphere pool are pretty amazing. We love it there.

Stay at Grand Cascades, otherwise you don't have access to the biosphere.

We were going to go there, but found it to be too much $$ for what you got, and there really wasn't much to do except lay around and do nothing or drink.

Springwater Bed & Breakfast. It was INCREDIBLE, we had such a relaxing time. We were, by far, the youngest couple there (most b&bers are much older than we are) but it was so nice. The B&B was great, breakfast was DELICIOUS!!! We will def be going back there... as long as we can get a baby sitter as they do not allow children under the age of 10 (or 14, can't remember).

Newport is nice, even in the winter. Although I prefer it in the summer I've been there in snow and I still had a nice time.

This may be a bit more then 3 hours, but Cape May is absolutely beautiful and I am told its a really great place to visit in the winter. I'm not sure how long exactly the drive is because we did it from the NJ Shore. But my guess is 3.5-4.

Thanks. We went to Saragota last summer so I want to do something different. Going to look into Cape May (I've always wanted to go). I don't mind a longer drive but I am afraid with how many stops we will have to make.

If you go to Cape May there are rest stops on the Parkway. Plus you can stop in Smithville on the way down or back, its a cute historic town with fun shops and restaurants. Good place to pee.

The Queen Victoria B&B is supposed to be really nice and its very central. I wanted to stay there when we went but I didn't plan ahead far enough. We stayed at the Inn at Cape May, which is really cool, but its definitely old and a little run down.
