Anyone who used Kelly Murphy...

Hi, I'm about 3 weeks out from my due date, and planning to use Kelly Murphy for our newborn shoot. I reached out to her a few days ago, but haven't heard back yet, so hoping someone on here can help.

I know she provides props, but should I be purchasing cute outfits (like the crochet kind)? It just dawned on me as I am going through the final checklist. Thanks in advance!!

We just used her props... headbands, wings, blankets, etc. She had soooo much!

I've heard such good things about her but have had a really unpleasant and frustrating experience with her. I reached out to her on her website with no response. I then e-mailed her business e-mail address the same exact initial request and finally got a response after a week. She said she had availability for my due date and I e-mailed her back to secure the date and ask about a deposit. No response for 8 days. I then re-email her and still no response going on almost 3 weeks. Not a way to run a business IMO. I had this horrible fear that the baby would be born and I wouldn't get a hold of her within the 5-12 day time frame for the photo shoot to happen and also was concerned about getting the pictures back in a timely manner for birth announcements. If she does finally e-mail me back, I plan on being honest with her and telling her that I am unhappy with the lack of communication and no longer need her services. I have instead booked with a different photographer who has been amazing to work with and is prompt with her responses and communication. In fact, she has already set up a private Pinterest board for her and I to pin newborn photos and props that we like so she can get a sense of what exactly it is I am looking for. I hope things turn out well for you and that you get a hold of her.

Thanks for the feedback. I am worried about the response time, but with only 3 weeks to go, I'm going to stay positive and hope it all works out! : )

She did a beautiful job last year with photos for dd, but this year has not responded back to quite a few attempts to book. I hope she is more reliable for you. I will be booking elsewhere this year for Xmas and bday photos.
