iui & lining?
I took clomid this cycle which I know can thin the lining. I went in today for monitoring and I had one 15 follie on the left an a 16 and 14 on the right. Waiting for the Dr to call me back and tell me whether we can schedule the iui. My lining yesterday was 6.8 today it was 7.1 the nurse said they would like to see it over 7.5 when I tried for my DD with my first re, they never told me any if this, just told me to come in for the iui and that was it. Now I'm worried. Anyone have any experience with this or these numbers? Also, I thought the follies had to be a certain size before they told you to take the ovidrel. I could have sworn it was 18 but the nurse said it was 16. I thought if they get too bigthen it wso t work. Am I wrong?

iui & lining?
The ideal size for the lead follicle for you to trigger is between 18-20mm so you're right there.
Good Luck

iui & lining?
That's what I thought, that ideally it was between 18-20. But I'm always monitored by nurses in the morning and she told me this morning that 16 was good too. Any experience with the lining numbers?

Re: iui & lining?
Ideally they want your follie to get to 18mm before triggering, unless they see your hormones are rising on their own and then they'd trigger you early.
You still have a few days for your lining to thicken up...actually over a week. But if you're worried about your lining being too thin, I'd ask to not use Clomid if you need another month.

Re: iui & lining?
As far as lining goes, my RE looked for it to be over 8. That being said, I was also always put on estrace after an IUI to help with that. Good luck!!!!

Dr. Grunfeld never told me any of that stuff. he just let me know when to come back for my next sono and then when to come back for the iui. he never told me my lining wasn't thick enough or anything along those lines. obviously, i know things change, maybe my lining wasn't thin before, who knows. it wasn't that they said it was impossible to become pregnant with a 7.1 lining, if something is meant to be, it will be. but i don't know what to consider a good number for lining at all since i have no reference.

that's good to know. i actually asked her if there was something that i could take to help thicken the lining and she said that because i was on clomid, that no i couldn't take anything. she made it sound like if i wasn't on clomid, maybe i could have?

I found with Dr Grunfeld that if he didn't mention it, then things were fine. So if he never told you how thick your lining was, that's b/c it was fine. He never told me either, and I never had lining issues.
I think 7.1 is borderline, but as another poster said, you can go on an estrogen supplement to thicken it up if you do, in fact, trigger today.
