Menopur....

thoughts on it? I've done research where I've read that too much Menopur cannot be good for you. Not that any of this is good for us.. :(

Last two cycles with RMA, I was on the highest dose possible, 6-8 vials a day.

With RS of NY I was on higher Follistim and they gradually increased my Menopur.

just a gut feeling that maybe that was too much for me.

any thoughts, or info that you have found on it?

I have cycled 4 times. I believe 100% that lowering my Menopur dosage markedly increased my egg retrieval and fertilization. The last time I cycled, I spoke with my RE about lowering my menopur dose. Hesitantly, he agreed with my request. In previous cycles, i was on anywhere between 4-6 vials per day. For my final cycle, I was on 2 vials, but 5-6 of bravelle. My retrieval yielded nearly triple the number of eggs retrieved. Nearly 80% of the eggs fertilized. My DS is 7 weeks old now. My RE was shocked by the difference. Menopur....

No idea but my menopur was always at the low end. Only one day did I use more then 1 vile. I got 17 and 7 made it to transfer/freeze.

I really don't know but during my cycle I only used 1 vial of menopur a day and then went up to 2 for the last 3 days. They retrieved 24 eggs, 18 were mature, 14 fertilized.

Menopur....

If I can remember they started me with a 2 vials of Menopur and then Gonal F. By my first monitoring appointment I was dropped to 1 vial then second appointment just Gonal f. I had 30 something eggs (33 or 31) and 27 embryos day of my 5 day transfer I had 14 blastocyst .

By the way, after my failed IVF I chose to do a non-medicated FET. They really tried to push me towards medicated. But after 4 medicated IUIs and IVF I felt like I had been putting shit in my body for so long it was worth it trying it with nothing. That whole cycle, up until the transfer, I felt AMAZING. Finally like my old self again . And it worked. I think my body responded well to not having all that stuff in me.
