My fashion handiwork - I have to share :)
So, since I brought up the capsule wardrobe idea I've been OCD about finding a simple black sleeveless dress to keep in my wardrobe for work, weddings, dress up, dress down, etc. But I haven't found one that I love. I'm a pear, and I find that sheath dresses don't really flatter my shape.
I had this dress that I bought on a whim, but HATED b/c it had awful cap sleeves, as pictured. In fact, I had it listed on eBay b/c I didn't forsee ever wearing it.
And then I decided to, literally, cut off the sleeves. I think I love it. What do you all think??

Looks good.
And reminds me....do you follow the blog New Dress A Day? She's been around for awhile and I think has a book now but she basically started making over thrift store clothes into modern pieces when she was younger and broke.
She comes up with some pretty cool things.

I have to check it out! I wish I was like t hat (this just worked out b/c there was a clear seam where I wanted to cut it) I'd love to be able to sew, repurpose things, etc. I can hem my own pants, and it ends about there
