How much is it and when do you usually get it?

Also- where are the places that usually do it?

I might spring and do this as a Christmas gift

Cost depends on a bunch of factors. Different place include different things such as number of pictures, video (4d), whether you did a gender scan there too, etc. Figure about $100-150.

3d ultrasounds are done in the 3rd trimester, the later you do it, the more like "your baby" it will look. Ideally, you do it around 30-35 weeks.

Just Google 3d Ultrasound, LI/NYC/wherever and you'll find places.

I was just told that you should have the 3D prior to 30 weeks because after that, the bsby grows at an increased rate and tends to get squished in there so there's less good quality pics of the face and free limbs. The sonographer said between 24-28 weeks. I'm getting mine tomorrow at 29.
Mine is $150 through a company at my OBs office.

You do it later b/c babies don't put on "fat" until later in the pregnancy so it will look more like your baby the later you do it. You don't want to do it in the last month b/c of a lack of room, but no reason it can't be done after 30 weeks. We had ours done with DS then and there was definitely no room issues.
