Shoe/bag help
I got this dress the other day...it's navy, which you can tell in person but on the computer (or my computer, anyway) it can look black. The zipper on the back is exposed and it's gold and shiny.
I was going to get wine colored pumps but the ones I wanted are not available anywhere at all and of course since I'm set on those, no other wine colored pumps will do.
Wearing the dress to a wedding next week and my company holiday party. Are nude shoes okay? I was thinking of going bold with red but then my friend said that it would be a little too "4th of July" so I'm a little  about that.
I won't be wearing tights.
I wish I could wear my pewter pumps but the gold zipper on the back ruins that I think! I don't want gold pumps because that's really................not me.
Help. I don't need actual shoe suggestions, just color suggestions. I'm so particular with the style of shoe and heel height.
And does the bag need to match the shoe?

Nude most definitely goes with the navy.
I'd do a nude, navy or to be bold, a gold bag.

I LOATHE the exposed zipper trend - I am dying for it to go away !!! I LOVE the dress - but the exposed zipper kills it for me
Nude absolutely works - but red isn't 4th of july - it's navy right? Not BRIGHT blue .......
I think red would look great, pink too.

Why not just get another pair of pewter since you like that color with it?

Not sure if it's your style or not, but I would wear my sparkly silver glitter pumps with that dress.
I only break them out for holiday parties!
Oh wait, just remembered that gold exposed zipper. Drats! 
Nude also totally goes!

well, if it helps.. YOU won't see the exposed zipper and your shoes at the same time, so maybe you can get away with the pewter
either that, or nude for sure
