Free things to do with kids
Anyone have any good ideas to do with young children that does not cost a lot of money? I know of the Holtsville ecology center, library & parks but most places are atleast $10 for open play and it adds up quick with 3! Thanks

Check out alldealslocal.com and groupon for deals for play places. I know Imaginations at Play is often on alldeals for $15 for 3 open plays. Middle Country Library is fun, lots to do in there, and you don't need to be a member to play.

Where are you located? Many shopping malls have play areas for kids. I know that the Broadway mall in Hicksville has two areas, and IKEA which has a play area is there as well.

Also, check to see if your library offers museum passes. I take my kids all the time to the LI Children's Museum for free. This week we went to the Cradle of Aviation.

Some of the malls have play areas too (Smithhaven and Bay Shore have them). If you time it right they aren't too crazy. I agree with checking your library for passes.
