Re: Curbing appetite
I agree with coffee. It is a good appetite suppressant (plus, I love it anyway!). On these chilly days, I've been treating myself to an afternoon latte with skim milk to get some extra dairy servings in.
Also at night, I've been having a cup of hot tea with one square of dark chocolate. I bought a big bag of individually wrapped Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares at BJ's. They are 50 calories each and not super sweet, so they don't make me want to eat the whole bag. That while sipping on a cup of tea curbs night time cravings.
During the day, I try to eat for volume (lots of fruits and veggies to fill me up) with a smaller amount of protein/fat mixed in. So a small piece of cheese with a giant apple or pear. Or a huge bowl of lettuce with a little olive oil and a small portion of chicken or shrimp. Eating low calorie foods in high volume, with some fat and protein mixed in usually keeps me pretty full.

Curbing appetite
Having small snacks between meals helps me. I always bring a string cheese or some fruit/veggies with me to work to snack on throughout the day.
I'm a big dessert person..especially when I'm stressed! Lately I've been having one cup of green tea (no milk or sugar) after dinner and that been helping to curb my sweet cravings.

Curbing appetite
I read somewhere to use those listerine strips when you're having a craving especially at night. Kills the tastebuds.

Re: Curbing appetite
eat an apple. if you cut it up it takes awhile to eat all of those slices and then its filling.
also drinking soups for meals in between lots of snacking lolol
you can also chew gum, make lots of salads, cabbage fills me up a lot.
i think for me its more mental, so I need to remove myself from anything food related and stay away from the temptations. it doesnt matter if i am full, if im stressed i still want to eat.
