Dr Zapantis, please tell me your thoughts about him
I went to him for a year. He was kind and compassionate. I really liked him. I liked that he was the only Dr you saw and did all sonos. I did 6 IUIs, 2 IVFs, and a FET and was not successful. So for me it didn't work out with him. I brought up immune testing and he doesn't really believe in it. I went to another RE and am preg via my first IVF with that practice.
I would recommend Dr. Zapantis to people who have easier cases. I think my case with being unexplained wasn't the best fit for him. But he was always very nice and really was surprised I didn't get preg each time. Many ladies have had success with him unfortunately not me. FM me with any questions.

Dr Zapantis, please tell me your thoughts about him
I LOVE, LOVE him. We did all cycles thru him & Dr. Kreiner when he was still with East coast Fertilit/LI IVF. I wouldn't go to any other Dr. I totally believed in him. We also were unexplained.

Re: Dr Zapantis, please tell me your thoughts about him
He is great for issues such as PCOS, male factor, tubal factors...but if you are DX with DOR, advanced aging, endometriosis, implantation failure or auto immune issues, you may want to go with someone with bigger guns. I researched and met with many, many REs and the only ones who knew at all what I was going through or how to accomplish a successful implantation with my issues were SIRM, Cornell, and Braverman. Cornell and Dr. B did not accept my ins and I loved Dr. T so I went with SIRM. They are not close but worth it. I rather commute and leave work early for two weeks one cycle than waste a year (which I did) on incompetent Drs who base my case on everyone else's. Just my opinion. We have fantastic Drs here on LI and NYC but some are better with different situations than others so you have to know your diagnosis and then see what Drs are more educated on it. Good luck hun and you know I'm always rooting for you!

I think at this point I don't think it matters who I go to...I have DOR and age and its a biological fact. He was the only one that wants to do immune testing due to a family history of miscarriage and still births.
I thought your last round was at RsofNY

Nope, I was with RS and then left. Did my second IVF this year with SIRM in March. Ultimately you have to have comfort and trust in your RE and that will make the process a much better one. I know you hated RS and for good reason. That's pretty cool that Dr. Z does immune testing. He didn't do any when I looked into him so maybe he's making some changes.

Dr Zapantis, please tell me your thoughts about him
I am not sure who I am going with Im just confused, I feel like a deer in headlights. I don't know if I can get myself in to the city, for me that is stressful. I spoke to Dr. Brenner LI IVF, RMA and Dr Z, I have an apt set with dr T just made it in case but not till Jan. Dr B does mot take insurance so, I will speak to him but.. I should say I don't have insurance converge for anything at this point, but consults and monitoring would be covered just not IF treatments
IMO, for any medical problem outside the box NYC doc are always more open to think outside the box verse LI doc..my exp as well

Re: Dr Zapantis, please tell me your thoughts about him
I know, it's horrible. You get to a point when everything just meshes together and it's so stressful. You are doing the right thing going for consults and feeling the Drs out.

Dr Zapantis, please tell me your thoughts about him
now that Zapantis put that thought in my mind, I just call the other two Dr to see what they say..
His reason, because genetics could play a role and we should know before any more $$ is spent. he would feel bad if I had a loss and then found out it was an immune problem.

Dr Zapantis, please tell me your thoughts about him
It just seems so nerve wracking trying to choose a dr that will give you results. Are they doing all they can or are they also looking for financial gain during this most stressful time . My sister tells me to go to a different dr but how would I know if that's the best thing for me ?

so hard to say, you have to go with your gut. People change for lots of reasons, from what I have read and could be wrong, usually its if the office/ RE mess up, or a poorly manage office which seems to be the case at one office at the moment. if someone has an issue and medical history that requires a Dr to think outside the box. That being said I still can decide. I just know Im not going back to my last RE
