Has anyone used either of these boarding places?
K9 Center in Ronkonkoma Cozy Noses in Bohemia
My FIL is going to watch our dogs for most of the time we're out of the country, but there's a 4-5 day stretch when he's possibly going to be out of town as well. We're looking for a good place to board the dogs where they won't be cooped up in a small pen all day and can have some room to move around and play.
I've already checked into places like HoundsTown USA, but because our boys aren't neutered they wouldn't be able to participate in day care and would be in their "rooms" for most the time.
We live in western Nassau so a suite at Best in Show Pet Resort is an option, but they're so expensive, the dogs don't get any outside time, and we'd have to pay $20 extra per dog 2x a day for private playtime.
The K9 Center and Cozy Noses seem to get good reviews online and they're close to my FIL so it would be a more convenient pick up for him. Has anyone had any experiences with them?
Thanks in advance!

Never used either of these places, but used Malibu Pet Hotel in Freeport years ago.

They are fantastic. I love them and so does my dog. He gets so excited when he realizes where he is going.

I don't know how cozy noses is today, but years ago we stopped boarding our dog there. He always came back not himself and very very dirty/smelly. We then paid for him to get a bath on his last day and it smelled like they just sprayed him with some kind of perfume.

Brit- I know you arent in Queens but look into Waggers in Bayside. I bring Shamrock there and he loves it. They also have a webcam that you can watch them on.
Waggers
I just reread your post. They wont let them in the daycare either if they aren neutered. I think a lot of places have that rule.

They look fantastic and I've heard great things, but it would be over $200/night with the individual playtimes

I've wanted to try that place so bad but they won't let the unneutered guys in it's only 15 minutes from my house!

Bc they aren't neutered and they don't allow unneutered dogs to participate in group play sessions

ohh ok I missed the part about not being neutered. You best bet would be to find someone to come to your home then....

I took my shepard to k9 center for years before he passed. They are great here. Dogs get plenty of excercise. The kennels are bigger than most other boarding places. I would definatley recommend them

I haven't boarded my dog, but my mom and I looked at Cozy Noses once when we were going to a France. I wasn't impressed. This was 4 years ago, but at the time the cages looked horrible and they told us the dogs get 1 hour of play time unless you pay for more. We ended up bringing them to a breeder we know and paying her to board them.
I found a lady who comes and stays with Candy for those rare times my parents can't watch her. It's great.
