Those with or familiar Samsung Galaxy 4 phones - battery issues
My battery just drains so quickly! It is a new phone but the battery power stinks! I literally charge it to 100% by 10pm, go to bed, and wake up by 530am and it is on 18%.
How do I see what is draining my battery? I am clueless. Thanks so much!

Go to Settings, scroll down to battery.
That will show you what is taking up the most battery life.
On my old phone there was some rogue app that was killing my battery.
I had to do a lot of googling to figure out how to get rid of it.

I have the 3 and my battery is dying so fast!! I went to bed with 75% and woke up to 9%!!!!!! 
Not due for an upgrade until Fed. Ugh.

On this phone, How do I make sure that apps are not constantly running? I found that widget and it only said that there are 3 active apps
Most of the battery power is under Andriod OS (75%)

Do you have your location turned on? If you turn that off, it saves some battery. I have everything turned off right now and my Android OS is only 10%.
Do you also have it in power saving mode?

Yes power saving is on and location is off- this is so crazy! Why is my android using up some much of the battery - this makes no sense!

I figured out the problem on my phone (and I blame my niece  )
Hold down the home button. Open up Task Manager. Click on Active Apps. Then end whatever is running. I had Google Music going and had no idea.

You want to enable a sleep mode if possible. This will reduce checking email and other services. Something is running. Personally, i would leave it plugged in all night. ITs a smart charger so power draw is dramatically reduced when its full.
As for the person with the 3, the battery is older just in year wise. It may not be reaching its full potiental charge any more.
