Why wait 2 months??
So, Drs say we should wait 2 months before actively TTC after going off BCP. So we are in the 2 month wait right now.
Just curious, why is this?
Is it just to regulate or does it have an affect on the PG?
Im getting antsy.

I figured it was to let the hormones get out of your system and also to see if your AF is regular enough to chart your ovulation time.

I read that it only takes the pill 24 hours to leave your system. I think they say that so your body may regulate and it will be easier for them to determine your due date. I was off for 2 months, my periods definitely were not regular in those 2 months and then I got a BFP....good luck

i never see the reasoning for this. People get preggos on the pill. I say do what you want. It wont hurt.

I have read the ONLY reason Dr's say this is because it is easier for them to date your pregnancy. Also since your cycle may not come back regularly it may be hard for YOU to keep track of when you are ovulating

From everything I've read this is not true the BCP leaves your system within a matter of days-Dr's just want to be able to date your pregnancy accurately so they can tell if the baby's measuring right etc.

They tell you to wait sometimes just so your cycle regulates, it makes it easier to tell when conception was, it's nothing to do with the bcp.
