Toys/games for 5 and 6 yr old boys
Hi, my sister-in-law can't think of any suggestions except legos which everyone is getting them already. Is there something else that would be fun for 5 and 6 year old boys?

Re: Toys/games for 5 and 6 yr old boys
My DS is turning 6 this week -
What about sports stuff? Jerseys of favorite teams, sports equipment, even tix (my son is getting islanders tickets)
Outdoor stuff (sleds, scooters, etc)
Games - board games (my son likes Mr. Mouth, Sorry, Trouble, Hungry, Hungry Hippos). Or do they have a game system? My son got the Wii last year, so he will get a few games for that.
My DS is getting a small table top air hockey game and a laser tag set.
If they like projects/making things, there's play doh or arts/crafts stuff. I also saw a new version of Lite Brite!
If they like movies, maybe some DVDs or a portable DVD player (if they don't have). Or gift certificate to a movie theater in a gift basket with popcorn, candy.
Or if they really like building things like Legos, what about other building toys? Magnet tiles, Lincoln logs, laser pegs, etc.

My DS is getting an iPad mini as his big gift from me and DH and bike from Santa. Then he's also getting characters from Paw Patrol, a bunch of art stuff, Star Wars themed stuff (toys, new lunch box, water bottle), puzzles, memory, books, Lego Junior.

I ordered it online... I get so many catalogs from online toy companies, but they have some interesting things. I saw it in several, but I think I ordered mine from either Young Explorers or Hearthsong. It is for 2 players (2 vests, 2 laser guns, etc). I figured it will be fun to play outside with neighborhood friends.

Keva Planks (my kids love these, so simple, and you can get Keva Connections for like $38 on Amazon, set of 200)
Magformers
Wacky Wigglers Gears Set
Science kits
Books
Lincoln Logs
I feel like these are classic toys that will get played with, as opposed to being a popular character toy that kids toss to the side in a month!
