Numbess in limbs?

Hi. I had a baby almost 3 months ago. This past month I've begun to experience numbness in my right hand and finger and sometimes even my legs. Did anyone ever experience this post birth. I was thinking the arm/hand could be carpal tunnel but the legs I find strange, My mom scared me because my aunt has MS and I guess that is a symptom. Either way I need to go to my PCP to bring it up but just wondering what you ladies think. TIA

I would talk to your pcp...sometimes I get random numbness in my hands. My cousin's wife was diagnosed with ms recently and numbness in her legs was one of her first symptoms, so I would really check it out. I feel like it could be nothing, but not worth the not knowing and worry.

I'd bring it up to your ob.
You should see a neurologist & they will be able to test easily for carpal tunnel (very common with swelling post pregnancy) versus something different.
The ob will be able to recommend a good neurologist.

It can also be caused by severe muscle tightness or a pinched nerve.

I'm pretty sure this is what I had. When DS was about 6 months old, I had very bad headaches, soreness & tingling in my back, and my arms & hands would go numb like what you're experiencing. I think it was muscle tension & pinched nerves from lifting him & from pumping & from falling asleep in awkward positions. I still have some problems with this but it was really bad for a few months at that time. I couldn't even bend my neck at all. I hope you feel better soon!!!

Definitely get it checked out. A month after I gave birth to my 2nd son, I started getting random numbness and pins and needles, and I ended up being diagnosed with MS.
