Waiting for the bus in the rain?
This is probably a silly question, but dd is in Kindergarten so this is my first experience with this. How do you handle waiting for the bus in this torrential rain and wind? Even with an umbrella I feel like she will get soaked. I though about driving the car around the corner. And waiting in the car. But I also have an infant I would have to pack up. Usually the baby is sleeping and I just bring the monitor outside with me.

Re: Waiting for the bus in the rain?
We are lucky DS gets picked up right in front of the house so we wait in the garage. If it was around the block I'd probably drive and wait in the car and pack up the baby. A couple of years ago our culdesac wasn't plowed yet so I walked to the corner (it's a house away) and waited. DS2 was a baby and napping so I just called my neighbor across the street and asked her to keep an eye on the house. I could see it from where I was as well, but just in case. We were outside for 10 mins.

Waiting for the bus in the rain?
Thanks for the replies. Luckily the baby was still sleeping this time. I am the corner house so my backyard is more like a side yard. So I have to walk around that and the bus stop is in front of the next house. I usually just bring the monitor with me. Or I wrap up the baby and carry him to the stop with me. It would be a huge hassle to have to get the baby into the car. But I guessing my hats what I may have to do when the weather is bad like this.

We still walk, but I think the car is a great option for a day like today.

Waiting for the bus in the rain?
Waiting in the car seems like the best solution. I would also edit your post about the baby situation. You never know who is lurking on here with malicious intent.

Everyone drives to the bus, sits in their car until it is pulling up, then they jump out and get right on.

Waiting for the bus in the rain?
If the kids are in the car, I'd probably just drive to school!
